Bernardo VFD holds annual Chicken fried steak fundraiser

Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department crews are packing to-go and dine-in plates on April 7 at the Bernardo Fire Station in Bernardo. This is just the tip of the iceberg when putting on good homestyle cooked food. Lots of behind the scene activity goes on before, during and after a fundraiser like this. Proceeds go to help fund the operation and maintenance of the station and its equipement. A steady flow of supporters kept everyone on fire and ready to serve. Photo by John Jones, Banner Press
