Columbus High School senior Ty’Vone Whitehead put his elite speed on display once again at the UIL 3ADistrict 25 meet April 4 held at Rice High School with a time of 10.98 in the 100 meter dash event, taking first place.
Whitehead made it to state last year in the same event and is on pace to do the same in 2024. Whitehead is also a college caliber running back in football with his speed, agility, and quickness.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see Whitehead at Mike Myers Stadium on University of Texas’ campus once again come mid May to take on the best in the state. His pure athleticism and strong legs put him among the best in the area when it comes to track.
