COLUMBUS—The Community Connections Day, hosted by the Colorado County Habitat for Humanity, kicked off April 6 at the Colorado County Courthouse in Columbus. This event featured nonprofits and was a chance to raise some much-needed cash and showcase the nonprofits. The courthouse circular drive was covered with booths and tables as the crowd mingled and talked and bought. A few of the Magnolia Belles made an appearance to the delight of many.
Of course, there was face painting and bouncy houses for the kids while the grownups shopped.
A number of kids took turns putting out fires after running an obstacle course set up by the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department.
A steady stream of people found plenaty to do and plenty to buy.
The Colorado County Habitat for Humanity and others at the square look forward to makeing this an annual event.
All proceeds from sales went to the nonprofits.
