Whitehead comes out on top in another track event

Columbus track runner Ty’Vonne Whitehead showed his state tournament prowess yet again as he finished first in the 100 meter dash event during the area meet held a Rice High School. Whitehead crossed the finish line with a time of 11.15 and beat the second place runner by .28 seconds.

The senior has been running like he wants to make it back to state and it’s looking like this is going to be the case as he’s come in towards the top in a number of his races throughout the entire

year. We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but White head is pretty much a shoe-in to represent Columbus in the state tournament at University of Tex -

as next month.
