EL SENIOR CITIZEN DANCE SCHEDULE

EAGLE LAKE — The schedule for the Eagle Lake Senior Cit- izen Dance held the first Friday of each month from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Eagle Lake Community Center at 100 W. Walnut in Eagle Lake is: May 3-No Dance; June 7-Larry Waddell & The Southern Stars.

EVFD TO HOLD FUNDRAISER

ELLINGER — The Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department Fundraiser will be held Sunday, April 28 at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall in Ellinger. The barbecue chicken and sausage dinner is $15 per plate. Serving in the hall starts at 11 a.m.. Drive-thru plates start at 10:30 a.m. Barbecue chicken to go sold at the pits is $12 per chicken. Auction will begin at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase a new equipment.

SENSITIVE DOCUMENT SHRED DATE SET

LA GRANGE — The City of La Grange, the La Grange Police Department, and Citizens on Patrol invite La Grange Utilities customers to a free Sensitive Document Shred Event on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. Mobile, on-site document shredding ensures discarded personal information is protected from unauthorized use, eliminating the opportunity for fraud and/or identity theft. Bring your sensitive documents related to taxes, payroll, human resources, medical records, legal matters, etc. to the LGPD at 243 S. College St.. in La Grange for destruction. Items with staples, paperclips and binder clips are accepted. Items not accepted are cardboard, floppy and hard disks, CDs, DVDs, and USB drives. CHURCH PLANS FUNDRAISER RUMMAGE SALE

FRELSBURG - Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, located off FM 109 in Frelsburg at 1031 Church Ln., will hold a fundraiser rummage sale, rain or shine, Saturday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the church building fund.

LOAC FREE KIDS IMPROV ACTING CLASS

FREE AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES

COLUMBUS — The Live Oak Art Center located at 1014 Milam St. in Columbus offers free after school art classes every Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. Register on the website www.liveoakartcenter.org under the classes and events tab. The free classes are offered throughout the whole school year. If registration is full they can always check back each semester.

All proceeds benefit the Seniors Together Columbus and Weimar groups. This will be a one day event, and no early sales.

Seniors Together, a place for senior’s, 55 years or older to so- cialize with others is held every first and third Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Lighthouse Fellowship Hall at 201 Veteran’s Dr. in Columbus. and at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events includes card games, board games, Bingo with prizes, coffee and tea, movies, lunch provided, educational speakers, field trips including trips to casinos and so cial gathering.

ST. MICHAEL TO HOLD SPRING FESTIVAL

WEIMAR — St. Michael Catholic Church in Weimar will hold its Spring Festival Sunday, April 28 at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Weimar. The fried chicken and sausage dinner will be served starting at 11 a.m. at $12 per plate. Drive-thru take-home plates will be available at St. Michael Family Center at $12 per plate. The event will include an auction at 1 p.m., Bingo from 2 to 6 p.m., antique and classic car show, country store, cake walk, treasure chest, kids games including fish pond, train ride and Plinko and more, mechanical bull, bounce house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and washer tournament beginning at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by the Czechaholics at 11 a.m., Mark Halata and band at 2 p.m. and The Blue Denim Band from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will hamburgers, cold drinks and snow cones.

FRUEHLING SAENGERFEST TO BE HELD

BELLVILLE — The 21st annual Fruehling Saengerfest will be held Sunday, April 28 at Concordia Hall located at 952 S. Tesch in Bellville. A barbecue chicken and sausage dinner, at $15 per plate, will be served beginning at 11 a.m. There will also be sausage and sauerkraut, homemade desserts, cake walk, vendors of German and handmade crafts. Entertainment will include German music and concerts including Round Top Brass Band, Bellville High School Polka Band, Polka Friends, Concordia Gesang Verein, Houston Liederkranz, La Grange High School Dancers and Houston Saengerbund. FRIENDS OF SFA STATE PARK TO MEET
