WEIMAR — Parents as Teachers hosted their annual Easter Party Group Connection on March 22 at Weimar Elementary in Weimar, attracting an impressive turnout of over 150 people. The event was a vibrant celebration filled with various activities and delights for all who attended to enjoy.
The festivities kicked off with a creative flair as attendees engaged in a variety of arts and crafts activities, including making bunny ears, crafting stick caterpillars, Easter lacing, springtime necklaces, egg stamping and pasta eggs. The excitement continued as kids played games in the gymnasium and participated in an egg hunt. Families also enjoyed music, songs, dancing and a fun story session in the library.
A highlight of the evening was the photo booth, where families were able to capture a springtime Easter keepsake with their little ones. Gratitude is extended to the Weimar Encore Lions Club for their free eye exams, ensuring the well-being of the community.
Finally, families were treated to a spaghetti dinner courtesy of Koopmann Catering. For information about Parents as Teachers and upcoming events follow on Facebook: Parents as Teachers of Rural South Central Texas or visit www.sw-pat.org
