A bunch of area qualifiers head to state golf

A select number of golfers from the area have made it to the UIL Golf State Tournament, which will be held at a select number of courses for each division. On Monday and Tuesday, April 29 and 30, the boys 4A will play at Legends Golf Course, 3A Grey Rock Golf Course, 2A Li ons Municipal Golf Course and 1A Plum Creek Golf Course.

The girls will play Monday and Tuesday, May 6 and 7 with 4A at Legends Golf Course, 3A ShadowGlen Golf Course, 2A Lions Municipal Golf Course and 1A Plum Creek Golf Course.

The athletes who qualified are Weston Pavlik from 2A Weimar and Angelica LeBouef from 1A Round Top-Carmine. The teams who qualified are 4A Bellville boys (Deacon Bauerschlag, Cooper Hollomon, Emil Kloss, Ja- son Wood and Dane King), 2A Schulenburg boys (Reid Janda, Brycen Schramek, Jackson Faith, Van Prihoda and Jayce Janda), and 3A Columbus girls (Kambrie Toppel, Kerigan Faldyn, Thea Schobel, Katharine Burnett and Mady Garcia) Tee times have not been set as of press time.
