Stolen vehicles recovered

The Austin County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) and the Colorado County Sher- iff's Office conducted a joint operation on April 24 to recover stolen property in the 1200 block of Bostik Road in Colorado County. At the scene, deputies recovered two vehicles recently stolen in New Ulm, as well as items from recent Colorado County burglaries. In addition, deputies located stolen items from the burglary at Systems Painters in New Ulm.

At the scene, deputies recovered two vehicles recently stolen in New Ulm, as well as items from recent Colorado County burglaries. In addition, deputies located stolen items from the burglary at Systems Painters in New Ulm.

The suspect, Quincy Kyle Janszen, 18, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Colorado County jail in Colum bus for booking. While not yet charged, Janszen may face Austin County charges of theft of a motor vehicle and burglary, while Colorado County has charged him with burglary of a habitation and possession of stolen property ($30,000 – $150,000). This operation was the result of close coordination between Austin County Sheriff’s investigators and the Colorado County Criminal Investigations Division.
