SCHULENBURG — Schulenburg Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 on May 4 at 8:16 p.m.
While speaking with the driver, officers smelled marijuana and a probable cause search was conducted.
Officers located a usable amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun.
The driver, Quincy Moss, 32, of Houston, is a gang member. He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a gang member, possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Moss complained of chest pains while under arrest and was taken to the Fayette County Jail in La Grange..
He was evaluated and cleared by EMS.
