COLUMBUS — VVA chapter 1127 presented six $1000 scholarships to local Columbus High School seniors.
The monies for the scholarships are made from the annual golf tournament and clay shoots.
Caleb Rosales will attend TSTC in Waco to become a Biomedical Equipment Technician to help hospitals in need.
Sage Thomas will attend Texas A&M, majoring in Public Health. She plans to attend UTMB nursing school and become a nurse anesthetist.
Talyr Tipton will attend Texas A&M to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology to become a pediatric physical therapist.
Kase Weishuhn will attend Texas A&M to study Business and obtain a master’s degree to become a financial advisor.
Kaleb Kuhn plans to attend junior college while playing baseball and pursue a degree in instrumentation and control engineering, ultimately working in the oil and gas industry. Jayden Trapp will attend Texas A&M-Kingsville to earn a Civil Engineering degree, as well as play football for the Javelinas.
Since 2019, VVA 1127 has been able to award 24 scholarships to CHS seniors, thanks to the growing support from our community.
The contributions to The VVA local fund-raising programs have been instrumental in expanding these opportunities.
