WEIMAR — The Columbus High School baseball team is thriving in the playoffs as they recently defeated Tidehaven High School in a three game bout on May 15 and May 18 at Weimar High School in Weimar.
Columbus won the first game 4-0, lost the second game 3-0, and won the third game by a final score of 10-0.
Head coach Kyle Bludau has this team playing great ball in his first season and if they keep this up, we could very well see them at Dell Diamond in Round Rock for the state baseball championships.
Columbus has players such as Kaleb Kuhn, Jackson Hancock, Trevor Berger, and many more who contribute and make the Cardinals a state tournament contender.
The pitching is strong, but the hitting is also a force to be reckoned with.
This could be Columbus’ year to not only make that next step to states, but take the crown as well.
