Flatonia sophomore Summer Sodek can do just about anything with a ball in her hand and she recently proved it by winning this year's STBA (Small Town Basketball Asso - ciation) Multi-Sport Athlete of the Year award. Sodek plays basketball, volleyball, and runs track at Flatonia and has put up dazzling numbers ever since she stepped foot on school grounds. Sodek averaged 24 points per game this season in basketball but is capable of recording 40 or 50 on any given night.
The future is very bright for Sodek as she handles the ball most of the time in basketball and also holds her own in volleyball as well, earning the District Newcomer of the Year award as a freshman and first team all-district as a sophomore. While Sodek still has plenty more to accomplish in high school, she has division one college potential in basketball and could even hang at the next level in her other sports as well.
