Dino program at Weimar Library

WEIMAR — Dinosaurs are big, scary and extinct. Perhaps that's why children adore dino saurs so much.

On Monday, June 17, the program "Dinosaurs or NOT?' will be at the Weimar Public Library. The program starts at 10:30 a.m.

Paleontologist Bethany Burke will be at the library to present dinosaur facts with real and replica fossils. This presentation will help explain the power, strength, and uniqueness of these mighty prehistoric animals.

Burke is the lead researcher at Texas Through Time's marine reptile dig site. She has also served as a field intern at the Montana Dinosaur Center, con- ducting field research at a dig site, prepping fossils in the lab, and leading museum tours. She is a certified fossil preparator.

Additionally, she has experience as a preschool teacher, teaching STEAM lessons at camps and clubs, and guest lecturing on college campuses.

This is just one of the programs that the Weimar Public Library has planned for children and adults this summer. Your children won't want to miss any.

All the programs are free. Please access the library calendar online at the library website, on the library's Facebook page, or pick up a paper copy to post on your fridge.

For information, call the library at 979-725-6608.
