The Columbus High School football team is known for winning at an elite level and it looks as though they’ll continue the same path in the ’24 season. Head coach Matt Schobel is a proven winner, NFL veteran, and loves his alma mater as a former Cardinal. He also has is son, Adam, who’s an incoming junior at quarterback and throws a nearly perfect ball out of the backfield. Columbus has kept a solid roster with disciplined players who know what it takes to win games.
It also helps when the team has tons of depth and athleticism, along with quality playoff experience and great looks at a state tournament appearance. With Schobel at quarterback, who also recently committed to Oklahoma State University for football, he’ll use his calm and collective ness to find his teammates and the Cardinals will rally off it as a collective unit in all aspects of the game.
