Child sex offender fugitive tracked to New Ulm

NEW ULM – During the early morning hours of June 14, an operation was conducted to apprehend wanted fugitive Clarence Cloud, 31, who was located and arrested at 1400 Block of Farm to Market Road 109 in New Ulm.

NEW ULM — During the early morning hours of June 14, an operation was conducted to apprehend wanted fugitive Clarence Cloud, 31, who was located and arrested at 1400 Block of Farm to Market Road 109 in New Ulm.

The wanted fugitive was tracked to the New Ulm residence by members of the US Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force.

Cloud was wanted for an active felony arrest warrant issued by Harris County for the charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

The Austin County Regional Special Response Team, including the new ACSO K9 Knox, assisted with the operation to arrest Cloud.

Cloud was arrested and transported to the Austin County Jail in Bellville, where he was booked on the outstanding warrant without incident.

Marked patrol units from the Austin County Sheriff's Office and the Colora - do County Sheriff's Office assisted with the operation.
