SMITHVILLE — The Schulenburg Shorthorn Band competed in the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest in Smithville recently.
The soloists posting the highest rate possible in UIL competition were Teagan Faith, clarinet, Perla Camacho, trumpet and Priscilla Lara and Shalanie Olve- ra on flutes.
