SCHULENBURG — Schulenburg volleyball has been elite under head coach Donald Zapalac, who’s sent many of his players on to the college level and is recently coming off a state tournament appearance.
They have some key pieces graduating, but they’ll still be locked and loaded with great young talent that has great playing experience at a high level.
Schulenburg finds ways to win and it’s likely they’ll be in the hunt for another trip to the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
They’ll have key players returning such as Madison Kunschick, Avery Helms, and Emmrie Marx, who will all be seniors. Marx is one of, if not the best outside hitter on the team with great jumping ability and lots of power with her arm.
Schulenburg is looking at another likely state tournament with an experienced roster that knows what it’s like to play on the biggest stage.
