CARMINE — Cubettes volleyball has had a lot of success in recent years under head coach Catie Carney as they’ve been on the cusp of a state tournament a bunch of times in the last few years. This team has athletes and a system that is based on attacking as well as solid defense.
They’ll also have Tess and Jill Eilers returning as seniors, who might be two of the best attackers in Fayette County.
Avery Nelius also returns as a defensive specialist and will be able to provide her senior leadership also. Carney knows how to build team chemistry and it shows with the winning they’ve been able to produce as a state tournament contending ball club.
Round Top will more than likely be in the mix once again for a deep run and a shot at state.
