Fayette Electric Cooperative announces annual meeting of members

LA GRANGE – Mark your calendars for Fayette Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting of members on Wednesday, July 17. This meeting will be held at the KC Community Center located at 190 South Brown St. in La Grange. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for registration, with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

LA GRANGE — Mark your calendars for Fayette Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting of members on Wednesday, July 17. This meeting will be held at the KC Community Center located at 190 South Brown St. in La Grange. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for registration, with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

Members who register between 5:30 and 7 p.m. will receive a $20 energy credit and have an opportunity to win one of many attendance door prizes given during the meeting.

Thanks to utility vehicles graciously donated by Ewald Kubota of La Grange and Kleiber Tractor and Equipment, convenient transportation from vehicles to the front steps of the KC Community Center will be provided.

After registering, members can enjoy various games such as Plinko, putt-putt golf, and the Wheel of Fortune game for a chance to win additional prizes.

Children aged 10 and under can register for one of five chil dren’s prizes and will also receive an attendance prize when attending with a parent or guardian.

Our special guest mascot, Solar Sam, will be available for pictures.

New this year is the Luck of the Draw Scholarship drawing for high school graduates who applied for an FEC scholarship in 2024 but were not selected. These students are encouraged to attend the meeting with a parent or guardian. One lucky student will be chosen that evening.

Fayette County 4-H club members, leaders and parent -volunteers will serve refreshments.

The business meeting will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Director Gale Lincke, representing members in District 3, and Director Leo Henke, representing members in District 4, are up for re-election. Both directors were nominated from their respective districts at two district meetings held in May. Fayette EC members can vote for any director, regardless of the district they reside in.

The winners of the CoBank Sharing Success Grant Program will be announced during the meeting, and checks will be presented to the recipients.

The July issue of Texas Coop Power magazine, containing the Annual Report and Annual Meeting registration card, was mailed to all FEC members at the end of June. Members are encouraged to bring their reg- istration card and official door prize ticket, located on the back cover of the Annual Report, to the meeting.
