FLATONIA — The Flatonia High School football team went an even .500 at 5-5 in their 2023 campaign under Brent Mascheck in his first year.
Under the circumstances, it’s not a bad start for a coach who just started his tenure.
What makes this team good is their scrappy defense and fluent offense while also having talent to go with it.
The Bulldogs have a solid all-around team and have players returning such as Beck Zimmerman, Caysen Perez, Keegan Green, Uriel Manzano and more.
The fact that Mascheck was able to salvage a .500 record in his first year shows signs of a good coach who has the program under control.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Flatonia boast a winning record in ’24.
