Summer Bridge provides tools for successful college experience

COLUMBUS – This summer, ACCSS and BRIDGE will be partnering to provide two opportunities for area students to participate in a Summer Bridge educational program.

COLUMBUS — This summer, ACCSS and BRIDGE will be partnering to provide two opportunities for area students to participate in a Summer Bridge educational program.

There will be a Summer Bridge event offered July 23-25 at Columbus High School in Columbus and a second event will be held July 29-31 at Blinn College – Schulenburg Campus in Schulenburg.

These events will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be provided at no charge to attendees. Lunch will be provided, and transportation will be available if requested in advance.

Topics to be covered include time management, study skills, literacy skills, mental health and more.

Students who recently completed eighth through 12th grades are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is required.

This program is provided through a collaborative effort with the BRIDGE organization.

BRIDGE is a 501c3. BRIDGE stands for Building Resilience, Inclusion, Diversity and Growth through Education.

Funding has been received from both Second Chance Emporium and Texas Rural Communities to allow this summer enrichment opportunity for the rural students.
