WEIMAR - A program on the bird that heralds the coming of Spring, the purple martin, will be presented at the Weimar Public Library Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a. m. Hosted by the Friends of the Weimar Public Library, 'Purple Martins 101' will provide information on attracting purple martins, ways to become involved with the species, and interesting facts about the birds that migrate to this area yearly.
Texas Master Naturalist Bert Stipelcovich and his wife Jean will provide information on attracting purple martins, ways to become involved with the species, and interesting facts about the birds that migrate to the Weimar area yearly.
Bert Stipelcovich is a Texas Master Naturalist and is the Information Technology Director for the Coastal Prairie Chapter. He and his wife Jean provide programs to major conference groups in Texas.
