Navidad Valley CattleWomen have awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to students with an interest in agricul -
ture. The majority of these funds have been raised by the annual Navidad Val - ley CattleWomen Ranch Run, which will be held this year on Saturday, Aug. 3.
There is both a 5K and a 1-mile fun run. This event is held in conjunction with the Schulenburg Festival. Runners and walkers interested in participating can register at https://nvcattlewomen - ranchrun5k.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx ?id=15683.
The category for cross-country ath- letes who are training for their next UIL and TAPPS season will be contin - ued. The entry fee is discounted to $20. Athletes are encouraged to wear their school colors. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest junior high school male and female, and the fastest high school male and female. Athletes who register in the cross-country division will not be el igible for the regular age division priz- es. This event will be chip-timed.
