Colorado County's Office of Emergency Management encourages community members affected by Hurricane Beryl to report property damage by submitting an online damage assessment survey.
“You play a very important role in our community’s recovery process,” said Colorado County Emergency Management Coordinator Charles Rogers. 'One area where your assistance is very important for the county and state to qualify for several forms of disaster assistance is reporting damage to homes, businesses and agricultural property.'
Texans can report storm damage to homes and businesses using the State of Texas Individual Assessment Tool (iSTAT) Damage Survey. iSTAT surveys can be completed in English and Spanish by visiting damage. tdem. texas. gov and click on July 7 - Hurricane/Tropical Storm Beryl Ongoing.
In addition to helping officials determine eligibility for various forms of disaster assistance, the information provided in self-informed damage assessment sur- veys also helps officials connect affected Texans with resources available to assist with the recovery process from the disaster.
Reporting damage through the iSTAT tool is voluntary and not a substitute for reporting damage to your insurance company. It does not guarantee disaster relief assistance. Tutorial videos in English and Spanish explaining how to complete iSTAT surveys are available on damage. tdem. texas. gov.
