EAGLE LAKE - The 45th Annual Ea - gle Lake Friends of the Eula & David Win -
termann Library Auction and Dinner will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. at the Com munity Center in Eagle Lake.
Committee members have been busy planning and procuring wonderful items for both the silent auction and the live auction. Committee Chairman Christine Owen and Bobbe Shapiro Nolan are pleased to pres- ent a fantastic fiber-art wall hanging titled "Trick or Treat." It is dedicated to the late Helyn Farris and created and hand-quilted by artist Bobbe Nolan.
On the back is the artist’s statement: “This quilt was made from fabrics gath- ered by the late Helyn Farris, who planned
many projects but, like most of us, fell short of time to complete them all." The 50"x 50"
wall hanging will be presented to the high- est bidder in the live auction, just in time for Halloween.
This quilt is sure to gain great enthusiasm when Auctioneer Todd Krenek begins the bidding. You won’t want to miss your opportunity to join in on the fun. Tickets for the dinner and raffle will soon be available to purchase at the library or from any Friends of the Library member.
Your participation will help the library continue providing new books, the Summer Reading Program, free computer use to the community, and all the other services that are done so well in Eagle Lake.
