Children entering the Col - orado County Fair Little Miss/ Mister and Jr. Miss event must be residents of Colorado Coun - ty and attend public, private, or home school. Past winners are not eligible to compete for the same title again. Contestants pay an entry fee of $25, payable to CCFA, and en - try forms are available online or at the Columbus, Eagle Lake and Weimar chamber of commerce offices. Contestants are grouped into two divisions, age as of Sept. 1: Little Miss/Mister, ages 5, 6 and 7, and Jr. Miss, ages 8, 9 and 10. The Little Miss and Little Mister contests will take place on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 5:30 p.m., at the Colorado County Fair - grounds Founders' Hall, with the Jr. Miss contest to follow. Little Miss/Mister contestants check in by 5 p.m.; Jr. Miss con testants arrive no sooner than 5:15 p.m. to check in after the Little Miss/Mister contestants. Fair Little Miss/Mister/Jr. Miss contestants may sign up starting now thru Aug. 30. Entry form and entry fee of $25, along with a headshot. Photos must be turned in by Aug. 30 at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce office or to one of the directors.
