LA GRANGE - The Schulenburg Young Farmers will hold their 57th Annual Hay Show on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and Thursday, Aug. 29, in con - junction with the Fayette County Fair in La Grange. Judging will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at the Emily Fritsch Pavilion at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange. The hay sale will be - gin at 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Emily Fritsch Pavilion at the fairgrounds. Hay produced in Fayette County in the spring and sum - mer of 2024 can be entered in the following classes: Class 1 - Coastal Class 2 - Other Bermuda grasses
Class 3 - Other perennial grasses
Class 4 - Mixed grasses Class 5 - Sorghums Class 6 - Winter annuals (oats and ryegrass) Class 7 - Legumes and Le -
gume grass mixture. An entry fee of $10 will pay
for the cost of the testing. Hay entries can be dropped off at the following locations: M-G Farm Service Center in Weimar, Farm - ers Co-op in Schu- lenburg, La Grange Farm and Ranch in La Grange and Mica Soil Service in Flatonia.
