LA GRANGE — The La Grange High School football team had a learning year in ’23 and are poised for a big year in ’24. With second year head coach Kyle Cooper, the offense is fluent, they just need to figure out the defense, which is totally capable with seven-year NFL veteran and defensive coordinator Brodney Pool. The spread offense is key for the Leopards as Cooper has already instilled the fast-paced offense for the purple and gold.
Their record in 2023 doesn’t actually reveal who this team really is. In the grand scheme, they have coaching, athletes, and personnel that are willing to win at all costs and will more than likely win sooner rather than later given that La Grange usually has an elite athlete come through town every so often.
Given that the offense was actually respectable in Cooper’s first year, things are expected to come together under a NFL veteran with Pool and the athleticism that is likely to come along in the defense and as a program in general.
