Columbus Community Hospital annual fundraiser deemed a success

Columbus Community Hospital annual fundraiser deemed a success

COLUMBUS — Although Columbus Community Hospital held a fundraiser, it was filled with ex citement and fun as the event-goers came up to the second floor of the Stafford Opera House in Columbus to be greeted with tables filled with silent auction items, guests mingling and making their way to the beverage bar.

The great hall was filled with guests checking out the cupcakes on each table and the numerous auction items up for bid.

The hospital’s annual fundraiser, held on Aug. 10, is an event that so many look forward to attending. Not only is it a time to socialize and eat great food but also a chance to support a hospital in this area that has been named to the top 100 rural hos- pitals in the country five times by the National Rural Health Association, and designated as a Level I Neonatal Facility, a Level IV Trauma Facility and a Level II Maternal Care Facility.

Opening its doors to the citizens of Columbus with 21 beds in 1950, Columbus Community Hospital employs over 175 people in a 40-bed acute care medical and surgical facility.

The night was deemed a success.
