Court says No!
LA GRANGE— Apex Clean Energy, a wind energy development firm, got the wind knocked out of its sails when the Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a resolution opposing any wind energy development at a recent meeting.
The unanimously passed non-binding resolution does not have any weight in keeping wind energy development out of Fayette County. It reinforces the opinion of the court and a seeming majority of county residents.
However, the resolution does make it harder for future commercial wind projects in Fayette County by the court requesting commercial wind projects to submit an environmental and economic impact study.
