COLUMBUS - CoCoTx-SaysNo will present its first Community Potluck on Aug. 18 from 4:30 to 5 p.m. at Columbus Hall/KC Hall in Columbus. This free event will feature speakers, friends from neighboring counties, education, and community connections. It aims to connect with the Colorado County community to share education about wind turbines and green energy, open communication, and community connection. It believes Colorado County is a special place that is supported by a special community that chooses to live here because of the beautiful scenery, views, wildlife and neighborly values. CoCoTXSaysNo is working to create awareness about the threat of wind turbines in the area that threatens the unique value of the countryside and all that makes this county so special.
CoCoTxSaysNo Community Potluck will feature an atmosphere for sharing your favorite culinary dish and connecting with neighbors, learning about Green Energy and, primarily, wind turbines and the long-term realities they present, communicating thoughtfully and respectfully with neighbors and friends on the considerations and choices that will determine the direction of the county for generations to come. CoCoTxSaysNo aims to educate the community with well-rounded truths about wind turbines, solar power, and battery storage.
Its number one focus is wind turbines. Not everyone can comprehend or research large topics. Proof of Colorado County residency is required. For information, go to www. CoCoTxSaysNo.org.
