LA GRANGE — A new 20242025 Lunch and Learn series called “Resources for Successful Living” will start Tuesday, Sept. 17. This monthly event will be held on the third Tuesday of every month from 12:05 to 12:50 p.m., except December and January. The program will be held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building at 255 Svoboda Ln., Room 104 in La Grange. The Fayette County Committee on Aging, along with the Texas A&M AgriLife Exten- sion Office of Fayette County, will be hosting the monthly events, providing resources and education for successful everyday living.
The topic in September is “Fraud SecURity: You are the Center,” presented by Sgt. Angela Lala with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department. Lala will discuss how to protect yourself and your family members from attempts to separate you from your hard-earned money through scam phone calls, internet solicitations, door-to-door salesmen, and ways to keep your personal information secure.
The October and November programs will cover “Legal Planning” and “Depression and the Holidays.” The series is free to attend and open to the public. Registration will begin at 11:50 a.m. Get informed on these timely issues, so mark your calendar and bring your friends and lunch; drinks will be provided.
