A Better Columbus spokesperson said “It has been brought to our attention that a very destructive termite – the Formosan Termite – has been spotted in town and we wish to alert you to these unwelcome visitors. These termites are not to be underestimated. They can form nests of millions, and many homeowners only realize the extent of the damage when it’s too late!”
According to the Texas A&M Urban and Structural Entomology Program, Formosan Termites are “considered one of the most aggressive and economically devasting termite species in the country.” It might be time for you to see if there are any unwanted visitors around your home.
