LA GRANGE — Even though they’ve struggled to start the season, the La Grange High School volleyball team is starting to figure things out as they won three games in a row recently in tournament play vs Manor, Eastside Early College, and Seguin.
Led by head coach Leslie Coltrain, the Lady Leopards usually have at least one star on their team, and this year it’s outside hitter Carley Ulrich.
Ulrich is the best player on the team with her athleticism and ability to put down double- digit kills in a game.
Another key player for La Grange is Kylie Trlicek.
Coltrain has coached at La Grange for a long time and is known for her tactics of teaching players during a game, which helps their cause as players and as a team to fix things on the spot in order to come out with a win.
The Lady Leopards have a good team with athletes who know how to make plays and the prediction is that they’ll contin- ue to figure things out as the sea son goes on.
