Flatonia at even .500 in volleyball

The Flatonia High School volleyball team is on the cusp of a winning record as they are right near .500 and had a great start to the season, winning their first three games in a row against Sacred Heart, Rice (Consolidated), and McMullen County High Schools, winning all three games in shutout fashion two sets to zero in tournament play.

Key players for the Lady Bulldogs are Kat Sullivan, Summer Sodek and Elzah Herrera.

Flatonia is led by head coach Bethany McLeod, who also coaches the girl’s basketball team.

This team is very athletic and the fact that they started off so great shows that they have the capability to have a strong season.

McLeod is newer coach, but has seemed to already mesh well with her players, which creates great team chemistry and usually leads to winning more often than not.

Flatonia will likely be one of the more solid volleyball teams in the area throughout the year.
