WEIMAR CHESS CLUB TO BEGIN

LIONS DANCE CLUB TO HOLD DANCE SEALY — The Lions Sealy Dance Club is having a dance on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Sealy American Legion Hall in Sealy. The band, Texas Sound Check, will be providing live music from 7:30 to 11 p.m. The public is always welcome. SENIORS TOGETHER SOCIAL SCHEDULE

lowship Hall at 201 Veteran's Dr. in Columbus. and at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events includes card games, board games, Bingo with prizes, coffee and tea, movies, lunch provided, educational speakers, field trips including trips to casinos and so cial gathering.

WEIMAR - The Weimar Chess Club (WCC) meets every Tuesday from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. at the Weimar Public Library in Weimar. The WCC is free to ages 5 to adult. David McCall is the club sponsor. He is a retired science teacher (15 years), elementa - ry school counselor (20 years) and has 19 years experience as a scholastic chess coach. He will provide free chess instructions and start each WCC meeting with a short lesson, which is followed with casual play time following International Chess Federation rules. EL SENIOR CITIZEN DANCE SCHEDULE EAGLE LAKE - The schedule for the Eagle Lake Senior Citizen Dance held the first Friday of each month from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Eagle Lake Community Center at 100 W. Walnut in Eagle Lake is: Sept. 6-Boogie Allen; Oct. 4-Al Sulak & The

NUVFD TO HOLD CELEBRATION

NEW ULM - The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 73rd Annual Celebration Sunday, Sept. 15 at New Ulm Firemen's Park in New Ulm. The event will be held, rain or shine.

Seating is available in the covered dining area. Barbecue beef and pork will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Adult plates are $15 and $8 for children, 6-12. Tea is included with the meal. There will be a drive-thru line for plates to go at 10:30 a.m. The event will include an auction at 1 p.m. with proceeds going to firefighting equipment. There will also be a silent auction. Other events in- clude raffle drawing after auction, gun raffle, Moon walk, kids' games and bake sale.

FAYETTEVILLE - The annual Kulhanek Family Reunion will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22 beginning with 10 a.m. Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville.
