WEIMAR - Weimar Police Chief Mark Jameson had the honor of promoting two of Weimar's senior police officers Jason Ellis and Frank Maier on Sept. 4 to the corporal position.
The ceremony was conducted in council chambers at City Hall and included the officers' families, friends and department heads from the City of Weimar. Officer's families were invit ed to a reception following the ceremony, where they enjoyed a meal catered by the WPD ad - ministration and Rodeo Grill of Weimar. Diamond W Sweets of Weimar provided the special cookie cake to celebrate the new corpo rals. Ellis joined the department in February. He has six years of law enforcement experience, a bache lor’s degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice.
Maier joined the department this past April. He served in the US Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. He has worked in law enforcement for 10 years.
The department is now fully staffed.
