Fayette County Country Music Club to host tribute to Hank Williams

LA GRANGE — This month

is the opry's annual tribute to the late and great Hank Williams Sr., who would have turned 101 years old this month. Portraying Hank Williams Sr., the opry is proud to have young Wyatt Aleman sing and play songs by the late and great Hank Williams Sr.

Aleman, a 19-year-old from Harwood, loves playing the fid dle and the steel guitar. He start- ed playing the fiddle when he was 10 and had been playing the steel guitar for over two years. He loves playing traditional country music and Western swing music.

Two of Aleman's most influen tial artists are Williams and Bob Wills.

The Academy of Western Art- ists (AWA) nominated him as "Young Artist of the Year" in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022. He won that title in 2018. On May 4, he was inducted into The Cowtown Society of Western Music as “Rising Artist of the Year."

Aleman plans on going to college and earning his degree in music. He is also working to wards opening his own music studio to teach music lessons.

He also plays guitar, upright bass, mandolin and drums, and is now teaching himself to play the keyboard.
