Raiders football has seemed to figure things out under third- year head coach Brad Dumont as they’ve started the season 2-0 with both wins in shutout fashion.
They beat East Chambers High School by a final score of 27-0, then Shiner High School last week with a score of 23-0.
This team has a good offense that can score points and a defense that has been so lights out that they haven’t allowed a single point all season.
It’s only two weeks in, but still a very impressive start for a team that has been finding their identi ty under a newer head coach.
Dumont is showing that he and his team have settled in and it shows with the winning and how they win.
Rice has stellar athletes and a coaching staff that puts their team in positions to win.
The Raiders are drastically improving and it looks like they’ll continue to keep on this pace.
