“Last week, Celina made us better,” said Bellville head coach Grady Rowe. “That’s what we talked about all week. Coaches say it a lot, but it’s literally week by week.
We're 1-0 this week. That's what we talked about. We’re gonna enjoy this a little bit and get ready to focus for Craw - ford. We did some really good things tonight. We did some things we just got to get better at. That's what the early part of the season’s about.”
Brahmas senior running back DD Murray had a big night on the ground with 58 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
“Get the team better and lead better,” Murray said on his goals for this season.

Bellville put Stafford under pressure on their own goal line with 7:41 to play in the second quarter, resulting in the Stafford quarterback to throw the ball out of the end zone for a safety and a 16-0 advantage for the Brahmas.
With just under a minute to play before the half, Bellville junior Adarius Hutchinson re covered a backwards pass for a 32 yard fumble recovery and a touchdown to make it 23-0 going into halftime.
As Bellville continued to wear out Stafford with their run game, Murray scored Bellville's final touchdown at the 5:24 mark in the third quarter for three yards and a 30-0 lead.
Bellville milked the clock throughout the rest of the game, as did Stafford as they realized the game was way out of reach, resulting in a 30-0 victory for the Brahmas.
