ECLGEG kicks off at Sealy Elementary

SEALY - The gardening education program EC-LGEG (Early Childhood-Learn, Grow, Eat, Go) at Sealy Elementary School is off to an exciting start as kindergarten students dive into a season of hands-on learn- ing and outdoor exploration. This program teaches young children about gardening, healthy eating and environmen tal stewardship. This engaging program introduces students to

the basics of horticulture but em - phasizes the joy of watching their hard work blossom into fresh, ed -

ible produce.

They will assist with planting vegetables and nurturing seed - lings. The program fosters a sense of responsibility and team - work. It integrates educational activities that link gardening with nutrition lessons, making the experience extend beyond t he garden beds.
