The La Grange High School vol leyball team added a huge win to their '24 resume with a victory over Columbus and Schulenburg run hard at Navasota meet
Fayette County opponent Schulen- burg High School in five sets. The two teams traded each set as the Lady Leopards were able to get it done in the fifth set with a 15-12 win. This is a great win for La Grange as Schulenburg is one of the best teams in the area and they recently proved it with a huge win of their own over Columbus. Key players for La Grange were Carley Ulrich with 24 kills and 18 digs, Brion Williams with 19 digs, and Kylie Trlicek with 45 digs.
This is a great game to build off of for La Grange and this should give them a lot of momentum go- ing into the rest of the season. Even though La Grange is class 4A and Schulenburg is 2A, Schulenburg is good enough to compete with classes above them as Columbus is a state tournament-quality 3A team. If La Grange can take down Schulenburg, it shows they're capable of beating a lot of teams.
