The David and Eula Wintermann Library held its 45th Annual Auction and Benefit Drawing on Sept. 21 at the Eagle Lake Community Center in Eagle Lake. All the guests who came out to support a worthy cause such as the community library, had a great time. Although there was fun and games like Heads and Tails, there was serious bidding on unique items. On another serious note, the family of Raymond Thomas was presented an award by the Friends of the Library. On hand for the presetation was, Vicki Powers, Elfe Thomas, Robin Thomas, Dr. Russell Thomas and Julia Pardue. The event raised $44,222 to be used to further the support of the Wintermann Library.
