The Rice High School football team is continuing to make drastic improvements under third-year head coach Brad Dumont. They are currently undefeated at 4-0 and are beating teams comfortably with each game being by a three touchdown margin except for their last game against Hallettsville, where they still won by 18 points at 24-6. The Raiders have great skill players at a bunch of positions and obviously know how to put points on the board.
Last game, their scoring came from their rushing attack, putting up three total touchdowns on the ground. This team is athletic and well-coached, which makes a great recipe for wins and success. The turnaround Dumont and staff has made with this team has been magnificent to watch and this is looking more and more like a team we could see in the later rounds of the playoffs.
