BELLVILLE — Kody Lowe, 17, was indicted on Aug. 26 by the Austin County Grand Jury for the murder of Karen McAndrews, 77, at her home on Old Highway 36 near Bellville.
On May 24, Austin County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a shoot ing that occured in the 700 block of Old Highway 36 near Bellville.
Lowe was found in the front yard of the residence. Officers then located a de - ceased female victim, identified as Kar en McAndrews, who appeared to be shot with a gun.
Lowe was taken into custody that night without incident and booked in the Austin County Jail in Bellville with a $100,000 surety bond.
