Mammogram program helps 26 participants

Thanks to the recent Friend to Friend educational program, 26 participants from Austin County received medical orders to acquire a mammogram on Sept. 25 from "The Rose" this October.

Sponsored by the Austin County Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Board and adapted by the Texas A&M

AgriLife Extension Service, this initiative aims to promote annual screenings for women.

The program was co-hosted with invaluable support from the Texas Department of State Health Services and Mid Coast Medical Center. This collaboration reinforces a commitment to raising awareness about breast health and the life-saving potential of timely screenings.

By encouraging women to prioritize their health, this program hopes to make a meaningful impact in the community and enhance outcomes for at-risk individuals.
