La Grange football very much improved

La Grange Leopards football is off to a great start in the '24 season with a 4-1 record and three wins in a row vs Smithville, Taylor, and Navasota.

In the Smithville and Taylor games, they scored a combined 87 points and only allowed 7 points each from the opponent. A key player for the Leopards is senior quarterback Clayton Cooper, who plays with tons of poise and can make all the throws with a strong arm.

This is also a very balanced

team on both sides of the ball with good receivers, backs and athletes who can make plays on defense.

Second-year head coach Kyle Cooper has La Grange looking more and more like a playoff team as the season goes on and with the way they are playing, this is a team that could win eight, nine, or 10 games and make a playoff push to go along with it.
