The Columbus High School football team was able to beat Bellville High School on home coming night in an area match- up last Friday by a final score of 49-35. Columbus spread the wealth on offense once again as Adam Schobel threw for two touch - downs and Grayson Rigdon ran for four. Bellville used their rushing attack per usual as running back DD Murray had four touchdowns of his own on the ground. The other touchdown scored was on a one-yard score by quarterback
Ryan Broz.
This was a showdown for the ages as these are arguably the two best teams in the area when it really comes down to it. Columbus has been on fire all year while scoring tons of points and Bellville has struggled, but they've had a very tough sched - ule to start the season. Both of these teams still have potential to go a long ways in the postseason.
