SEALY — The Sealy High School football team won handedly Sept. 27 at T.J. Mills Stadium in Sealy vs Needville High School by a final score of 55-17. A back and forth start to the game led to Sealy getting their offense going on all cylinders with passing and throwing en route to a big win. "Our offense was clicking pretty good from the jump," said Sealy head football coach Clint
Finley. "They're offense is really powerful. They do a lot of really
good things. They attack you and they try to take the weakness of your defense away. That's kind of what they were doing. They were recognizing some of that stuff and we were able to get some ad - justments made. The kids did a better job of kind of disguising, then being where they needed to be." Sealy quarterback Kane Kil - lough had a very productive night
with 23 completions on 28 at-
tempts to go along with 238 yards passing and three touchdowns.
“The offensive line did an in- credible job," Killough said. "I trust them with my life. They start everything off. They snap the ball, they block, nothing hap - pens without them." Tigers junior wide receiver Steven Schwartz caught the first touchdown of the game from Killough at the 9:12 mark of the first quarter, then Needville responded on the first play of the next drive for a 70yard touchdown pass to tie the game at seven.
Killough took in a quarter -
back keeper a few minutes later for five yards to make it 13-6 af -
ter a blocked extra point, which was followed by an answer from Needville for a two-yard touch - down run and a 14-13 lead short - ly after.
Sealy went on to score four touchdowns in the second quar -
ter on a pitch play, quarterback keeper, a short pass, and a me - dium-length pass for about 20 yards to take a 41-14 advantage at halftime. Another short touch - down run for one yard from Kil - lough put it at 48-17 with 4:21 to go in the third quarter right before a 20-yard field goal from Needville.
Sealy didn't score again un - til the 5:04 mark in the fourth quarter on an 18-yard touchdown run up the middle from junior running back Alan Williams to add to an already huge lead and cruise to victory at 55-17.
