COLUMBUS - The Colorado County Detention Center in Columbus received information on Sept. 23 about an inmate having an improper relation - ship with a Colorado County employee. Upon receiving this information, the Colorado County Sheriff's Office re -
quested the aid of the Texas Department of Public Safety Rangers Division to in -
vestigate this matter. It was determined probable cause ex - isted, an affidavit was submitted to Jus - tice of the Peace Pct. 1, William "Billy" Hefner, and a warrant was issued. Tomas Allen Ramirez, 50, of Co - lumbus, turned himself in on Oct. 1 on a warrant for Violations of the Civil Rights of Person in Custody; Improper Sexual Activity With Person in Custo - dy or Under Supervision, Second-de - gree Felony. Ramirez was released on a
$100,000 bond. Ramirez was a former
